I've had my house re-plastered. We knocked off all the damaged plaster and replaced it with dot-and-dab and skim.

Due to the extra width of the wall, some plaster now protrudes the door frame by up to 5mm.

Any advice on what the best practice is in this situation, other than replacing the door frame?

I'd add some 6mm strip wood, set back 5mm from the inside edge of the frame. Then when you fit your architrave set it back another 5mm off the edge of the strip wood and it add a nice looking extra step (in my opinion).

any architraves being fitted?if so then just router out the back of the archs by 5 mm and pin away.
