Plaster trimmed to slide in worktop, now uneven gap - advice please?

Well, i only said what the op wanted to hear.
He doesn't want upstands, i would never leave a worktop and untiled wall without them.
It seems that money and time is not questionable, so your day work to make good would be well earned.
Upstands for me, 1 hour work at most.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have enough wood for the upstands, just waiting on a quote for the quartz.
Assuming that all goes well, I'll need to buy a router to put a matching bevel on the upstands - no idea how to do that yet!
