Hello,
Just stripped the wallpaper in one of the rooms in my 1910s-ish home and am a little stumped by what type of plaster is on the wall.
It is white with dark inclusionsamd a rough surface. At first I assumed this was lime plaster. But it is in very good condition and the only decorative/surface treatment it has had is the current fairly new wallpaper I am stripping, so it is certainly not the original. But not like the smooth pink gypsum I would expect if it was new. Is this what new lime plaster would look like?
I am keen to know so i can make sure I treat it correctly/use the right type of paint.
Have attached some images - any thoughts much appreciated!
