I'm sure this question has been asked a lot, but I can't seem to find the answer to either of my questions....
1. Fixing plasterboard to bare brick. Am I better to dot & dab, or fix it to battens? Dot & dabbing seems to be the more common choice, but I think I'd personally get a better finish myself by fixing to battens - what are the downsides? I also need to keep the battens as thin as possible - what's the minimum thickness?
2. Overboarding a ceiling. What's the best method of fixing? Screw to the joists above?
Thanks in advance!
