Hi guys, trying to fix a new light on the ceiling of an extension built around 1970, long story short half the ceiling ended up coming down with me underneath it.
I think it makes sense to replace the whole lot and replasterboard it as most of it seems to have gotten wet in the past and is bulging away from the joists, but then suddenly I wondered if I've just disturbed a load of asbestos by accident. It's about 8mm thick, white and chalky inside, had been wallpapered over if that helps.
