plasterboard silly question

Hi

I recently replaced the sagging plasterboard ceiling in my kitchen. It all worked fine except that I suddenly realised that I have the cream surface showing instead of the grey. Will this make any difference when it is plastered???

Thanks

Yes, the main difference is that the plasterer will grumble and tell you if it falls off you can't blame him.

If it's a small kitchen and you will be troubled by his grumbling you could always nail another layer up, grey side down.

There may be a case for using PVA or something.

I've experienced the grumbling but not the falling off.

You plaster the grey side and decorate the white side.

Yes ,I only found out a few years ago, when a foreman asked me to help out plasterboarding in a barn conversion. I was so ingrossed in what I was doing,it wasn't until the end of the days work that I noticed all my boards where grey side out ,evryones elses white. They all said I had my grumpy head on so no one would volunteer to tell me
