Plasterboarding Ceiling

Would anybody recommend plasterboarding a ceiling and then taping and joining rather than getting it plastered?

i thought you were supposed to do that anyway, before its plastered

depends on the finish you want. if it is done well then can be just as good as plastering it.

I wouldn't recommend it. You can't beat the look of a newly plastered ceiling in my opinion

Breezer, you put scrim over the joints then plaster 2 coats of finish over the whole lot.

It's just that I've seen it done on plasterboard walls but never on ceilings.
