Plastering probems

hello, new to this forum so forgive me if this isn't the right place for this post.

Little background - we rent from a housing association so the house isn't owned by us, we had s disgusting fire and requested it be taken out which they did, they left the mantle and surround and said if we want that taking out and plastering we had to remove it ourselves and they'd come back to plaster it. So we did.

Long story short they came and plastered it and it's absolutely terrible, lumpy and bumpy, he left some of the adhesive from the surround on the wall and now there's bits sticking out.

I can provide pictures if nessesary.

Basically I wanted to know what we could do? I've been looking at some of that paint that evens the walls out but not sure if this is a good route to go down, any advice would be very helpful.

Have you made the HA aware of this?
If so and they are not prepared to rectify it, I would recommend that you seek authority from the HA for any improvements you care to take on.
