I'm trying to find the easiest way to get my loft wall rendered / plastered as, well as achieving additional soundproofing.
I've seen soundproofing plasterboard which could presumably be dotted-and-dabbed to the wall - or fixed to a baton frame, etc. The main challenge is that access to the loft is currently via a 24-inch square trapdoor - which makes getting large plasterboards in impossible - unless they are cut into very slim sections.
Does anyone have any thoughts about the best approach for a combination of sound proofing and a smooth finish on the wall and chimney breast?
