Hi,

I have just purchased some white plastic cladding approx 8mm thick by 157mm wide x 2 metres long. I got it from B&Q and want to put it on ceiling of bathroom. The existing ceiling is wood tongue and grooved and i want to put plastic over top of it as ceiling has been lowered and tiled up to. I cannot screw the plastic to wood as screws will look awful! I was thinking of using silicon, can anybody advise? BTW, the cladding is hollow so very light.

Gary.

Gripfill and a staple gun for the end of the tongue into the timber cladding should do it.

as masona says, your fixings will be hidden if you fix through the 'male' tongue end then the 'female' groove of the next piece covers the fixing.
