Plastic Facia not covering all 6b1

hi. We have a wooden 6b1 on our new roof and are about to add a new Facia.

We notice the 6b1 about 10mm from the top is not covered by the plastic Facia? Is this a issue giving guttering and eaves drop?

Additionally should I preserve the 6b1

Not an issue no. And it will never be visible once the gutter is fixed.
