Hi all,

Been a 'lurker' for a long time but decided to finally register and post!

Hope this makes sense...........

I am about to embark on a little project of making a box out of 6mm Polypropylene sheets.

What I would like advice is on how to actually weld the pieces together. I have a 'plastic welder' now and can kind of figure how to 'do it' but my biggest concern is how to get a smooth edge on the exterior corners. Do I need to weld another rod into the join or would simply heating it up and
smoothing it over with some kind of tool be ok?

I hope my post has some sense around it...I know exactly what I mean in my head but putting it into text isn't so easy haha!

Thanks in advance for any replies.

by welder, I assume you mean heat gun and nozel?
you need filler rods, but you will have to sand and polish it to get a good finish unless you have years of experience, just like regular welding.. it's an artform in the right hands.
