Please Help fault with Ariston Microcombi boiler

Please can someone help. I have an Ariston boiler which is 4 years old. Over the last month or so the only way to get hot water is to run the tap sowly - so I called a plumber who messed around with the stop cock and made the water very hot. However the boiler then failed and could not be reset. I spoke to someone who advise that I turn the stop cock back to where it was before, which I did and yes the boiler works and we are getting hot water but no central heating. The heating was never the problem it was just the lack of hot water. I have had a another plumber out today and he rang me after he had finished and said everything was ok. I have just come home but still no central heating... Any help please?????????

I recommend you get a good boiler engineer rather than presumably cheap plumbers who dont know what to do.

Thanks but it doesn't help. Anyway I don't think £90 call out is cheap and when you live somewhere that you don't know anyone to ask for a recommendation all you have is the yellow pages to go through!

Ask a neighbour, milk man, someone in the post office, im sure someone near you knows a good boiler engineer! Or find someone who can offer no fix no fee.
