Please help me to identify this part

Hi all,

I am looking for a particular fitting for a gas bbq. Could anyone help in telling me what it is called.

I imagine this is just a propane gas bottle to a gas BBQ. This can be done by a a home owner, although I am not familer with these fittings.

It looks like the fitting is not removable from the hose. If you give more info as to what you exactly want to do with it, it may help others to make suggestions. try googling gas hose connector or gas hose kits and you may find a solution.

Why do you think it can be done by someone who is not gas registered?

That is the connection that goes to the bbq not the bottle end and why doctou need one. You just need to get a new hose and regulator they don't cost a lot but still should be installed by gas safe installer who has lpg for
BBQ's ticket ( or do it yourself and self cert it )

The lead is to connect to a gas bbq o'grill by Pierre White. They are £50 to buy directly and consists of that fitting, a metre of gas hose and a gas bottle connector (non regulated) - just seems very expensive for what it is.

It's to replace the small portable gas cylinders, similar to that used by a blow torch @ £10 each

As a layman I find it extraordinary anyone would consider getting a Gas Safe chap in to replace a hose on a BBQ!

Maybe I'm the only one....though tbh I don't own a gas BBQ as I hate BBQs!

Yes every time your BBQ gas bottle runs out you will need to call a Gassafe engineer to do it

The hose etc you mention is usually quite cheap to buy pennies in fact but add Pierre White to the equation and there's you game. PS don't upset him as he gets a bit tetchy. bless.

I often call a chef when it is time to turn the sausages too,

and a sparky to plug in my patio heater.

And a pot washer at the end of the night
