please please can someone help me. The pressure on my vaillant eco-tec keeping going lower and lower due to a leak on my radiator valve. so have to keep an eye on the pressure falling to low as it goes off. but while i was out yesterday it went off. big mistake in asking the kids to top it up as they have now over filled it into the red. and my boiler won't come back on. I would be really gratefully if someone could help me get the pressure down again. I think am looking for the bleeding valve. Whats it like being a women and not having a clue lol

Pressure can be reduced by bleeding a few litres from a rad bleed point.

But over pressure will not normally stop your boiler from working!

Its an obvious question but why have you not had the leak fixed?

Continual repressurising will create sludge which can do a lot of damage!

Hi Tony thanks for your reply. Well first the landlord was suppose to get someone out earlier this year. to see about the radiators leaking that has not happened yet. So i'v rang him this morning to tell him about the boiler not working again and all i get is he get in touch with someone over the weekend. so it looks like i'll be running up and down my mum's all weekend getting washed and that. I no how to put water in the boiler could kick myself now for thinking that a 23 and 26 yrs old could do a simple job. I no there is a flexi pipe between the 2 taps that i fill the boiler up with, but thats it really. don't no much else about the boiler keep going up and pressing the reset button but nothing ok thanks for your help

Right so its the Landlords boiler and not yours!

In that case continually pester him about getting it working!

If you pay rent then you expect to have working heating!

I hope he has a current gas safety certificate!
