We have recently moved and have installed mixer taps/shower. The pressure from the taps appears to be relatively strong but when we switch to shower, the pressure is really low and just trickles out of the shower head (the mixer taps/shower is new).
We have an immersion heater at the same level as the taps and a tank in the loft (roughly 2.5 m above shower) - not too sure where the water flows from (as you can tell I am a complete novice!).
Should we install a shower pump? If so, which one as they all seem to be different power levels and how do we install it (is it relatively easy?). Any help in layman's terms would be much appreciated! Thanks!

How can you expect to install a pump if you dont yet undestand where your water comes from.... :?:

I suspect that your immediate problem is caused by your new tap/shower which sounds as though it is only suited to mains pressure systems.

Unfortunately whilst looking at these pretty new items, very few of us are aware that a tap is not just a tap and the manufacturers and suppliers fail to mention it to the purchaser, as a sale is a sale after all.....!

:D  :D  :D
