Can someone recommend a drill/plugcutter set, or would just a plugcutter be enough in itself to use with the right size drill? I'm thinking i'd like to use it to screw some skirting in...

Heh.. sounds good then. I have an sds+ drill on the way though.. so can i get an adaptor for that so it'll take all these hex bits? Then i could get rid of the old drill...

You can get an adaptor, but an SDS is mucho heavy duty for woodworking application like this. If the old drill has a standard chuck then keep hold of it, or replace with a small drill/driver.

Hmn.. i had been wanting to rationalise the toolkit abit.. and thought getting the sds would do this. How do you mean heavy duty, its the hitachi pc3 which is quite a small drill isn't it? Obviously you wouldnt be using hammer for this kind of work.. but do you think it's still inadviseable in some way?

cheers

It will do the job in the same way that you can use a nuclear weapon to remove tiles in your bathroom. ;)
