About a year ago I fitted a sink and as advised in the packaging applied plumbers mait around the hole for the 'plug hole' before fitting it. I fitted the 'plug hole' and squashed it down forcing some of the plumbers mait out. This has worked fine but has started to leak recently. I think that washing up and cleaning has rubbed away the excess plumbers mait that was there. Is there another technique I can use to prevent this happening again.
Many thanks in advance
