Plumbing an electric shower

Hello

I am just about to fit a new electric shower. the old one has a metal water inlet pipe but the new one is plastic. Cant I use a metal compression joint on this plastic pipe or do I have to use something else?

Yes you need to use a metal compression joint on the plastic inlet.

Don't use any jointing compoumd on it though
