I'm putting a sink in my garage. luckily the water and drain pipes go up through a boxout (vertically) right next to where I want the sink.
So for the drain what would be the best way of doing this?
should I get a T section with a reducer piece to the sink or is there other methods like just drilling a hole in the waste pipe? should there be a u in the waste pipe to the main waste pipe to trap water so no smell comes back up through the drain or is there anything out there like that I should buy?
In terms of supporting the main vertical pipe what needs to done as I imagine once I cut a section out the pipe It will want to move or maybe it's held in place somewhere else which would mean I cant get my T piece on?
I've not actually opened up the boxout to look inside yet, I just know whats in there.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Rob
