You will be more limited in choice with plywood as many merchants now seem to stock MDF sheets instead.

I live in M/cr too and use Arnold Laver(timberworld) Irlam. Here is a link to their sheet materials page, which may help you.

No offence meant, but if you do a search you are looking for veneered or faced ply.

For inside and dry use MDF is OK and easier to work with than ply.

What are you making with it?

thanks for the link very helpfull i will look in at ARNOLD LAVER TIMBER. looks like a good timber merchants thanks for reply. BRIAN

small world !!! i use arnold laver in Irlam/cadishead , and can recommend it :D .the veneered MDF range is excellent, they can also deliver if you need , about £10 locally ., off the top of my head

I hope that Lavers in M/C is better than in Sheffield or Chesterfield. I found them to be very expensive and hopelessly inefficient. When we stopped using them a few years back I had David Laver on the phone telling me everything would change if I gave them another go, so I gave them another go and they b*llsed up the first order.
If you are looking for veneered ply I would phone round local timber merchants for the best price. Even Travis Perkins should be able to get it in for you.
