Hi we have a small kitchen which at present has no heating in it.

Because of lack of space we have been advised that a plynth heater would be our best option which we thought was a great idea.

Our problem is our electrician is telling us that an electric one will be best and the plumber is saying that one linked to our central heating would be best.

We are waiting for prices from them at the minute.

What ones would you all reccomend, how much does an electric one cost to run compared to one hooked into the central heating.

Also any idea on the cost difference for both electric and central heating attached.

Thanks

Electricity costs around 13p per kwh

Gas costs around 4.5p per kwh

So your kitchen will cost far less to heat with the central heating connected unit.

However the installation cost will be significantly more.

Recommend www.smiths-env.com five yr warranty.

And it's 'plinth'!
