Hi,
I had uneven floorboards and on the advice i had from this forum i put down 6mm ply. It has improved which is great. I do however have some gaps between boards where i have had to cut them to fit as I only had a jigsaw and couldnt get it perfectly straight. We intend on carpeting with a good quality underlay however I am concerned about the carpet sagging into these gaps. some gaps are 3-4mm wide.
Is there something I can put in these gaps? ie silicon, or would it pop out as the board expands/contracts. Or perhaps some kind of loose fill like sand or something.
ps the boards are large 8x4 ft.
thanks in advance for any advice
