why are the bricks on the 2nd level pug in?and the 1s lower down all dry walled,lol

excellent ladders by the way.
 
I'm no builder but it looks to me that it's not just pointing that hasn't been done.

I thought that mortar between the blocks / bricks was to keep them apart and spread the load evenly. I can't see render doing that!

Don't worry about the load bearing aspect JB.

As soon as they try to knock a nail in from inside the whole lot will come down! :LOL:

It would be poetic justice if those cowboys were under it when it did!
 
Its a concrete framed building and the blockwork is just an infill between the structural frame!

That does not mean that its good building practice but rather that its not structural brickwork as you would get in a two storey house.

I imagine that the blockwork is wedged in and wont move with lateral pressure but I wouldn't want to be inside and lean on the wall when its all finished!!
