Hi,
Looking to do some re-pointing on the 30 year old house bricks where below the dpc they seem to have used a very weak mortar that is eroding away; seem to be a common problem on other similarly built houses nearby.
While its only just 3 courses below the dpc that are exposed at the front its more like 10 courses at the back due to the sloping site.
On the forums seems a 4:1 mix is the most suggested ratio along with a plasticiser, though some others also suggest a water proofer as well ..?
What we have also seen for sale locally is this Everbuild 3 In 1 which does both , plus being a retardent.

Would that 3 In1 be a good thing to use or just stick with a plain plasticiser and any particular brand recommended ?
