In the relativly short time that poker sites have been around there has been only 2 sites that foul play was proven. The 2 sites were pretty much found out by the "community"....they were absolute poker and ultimate bet poker....both were inside jobs and as stated were caught out and vilified. Interestingly enough both these operations were/are linked. They now operate under a new name called Cerius.
As to the question is it rigged.....The true answer is NO. The reason you see crazy stuff happen online is its just the click of a button.....to some it doesn't even seem like real money, its so easily accessible that your below iq brigade play there without effort. Also add to the fact that online you can easily see 100+ hands per hour...if you multi table you will see more, compare that to what say 20-30 hands per hour live then you begin to see why you are witnessing all these crazy hands.
Also live players (although they are all pretty bad on average) will not push chips in the middle with junk because of the fact that they are face to face as opposed to behind a keyboard laughing
Online poker is a fine way to make some extra cash as long as you can mentally attune yourself to the game your playing and can play within a structured bankroll and have a little bit of skill/knowledge..

Only one winner on any type of site like that, and that follows true with any form of gambling, you pays your money and you make your choice :)

Gambling a mugs game, had a mate once who bet on the horses, would get paid Thursday, go straight to the bookies, and gamble it all away, and he had wife and four young children to support.
Ultimately there is only one winner.

People who gamble a fair bit will always tell you when they've won a nice amount, but you won't hear a peep when they lose, which is more often than not. There are some 'professional' gamblers who may have a modicum of relative success, but the ordinary joe ( not 90!! ) is the person paying the gambling establishments wages, and giving them a tidy profit too

Fruit machines can make you enough money to live on - But you end up a travelling button monkey  still pays more than a static button monkey in a factory - and it`s totally legal

Tell my missus that after she blew £600 in about an hour on the cursed fruit machines............ oh yes, I frikking hate them

the whole thing about gambling is that it's 'weighted' heavily, in favour of the bookie... therefore, over a period of time, they are very very very likely to win more than you. However, an indivdual may manage to do well under these circumstances, either by luck or skill.... but the bookies don't mind because enough other punters will lose plenty enough to cover that and their profits!!

Even the roulette wheel having the 0 which goes to the house , makes it " loaded" if there was no 0 the odds would be more favourable.

not true with poker. The site only takes a small rake payment on each hand, which makes them a mint whilst giving players the chance to ultimately play against each other. So someone on the table will win. There's many people make good money from playing online poker. A good knowledge of the game and ultimately a good head for numbers/probability etc will give you a massive advantage.
On low stake tables you can do quite well, its only when you get to the high stakes that you play against other good players and your chances of outfoxing someone are slashed dramatically.
I used to play low stakes alot (5/10p or similar) and made around £250 a month on average. Only problem is it took alot of hours to do that. I still play but not nearly as much, just for fun now. Its a good game, but some ppl who have addictive personalities will end up hooked and trying their luck on bigger stakes, thats when it all goes pear shaped. There's a handful of very good online players that make good money on the big tables aswell, milking the gambling addicts for everything they've borrowed.

We have new neighbours. The reason ? The previous owner lost everything on on-line gaming.

your playing against others that join the room, you are not playing against the site.

So you had a bad run of the cards so its fixed.

So when you have a good run you bank and run .

Come on guys grow up, if poker sites like these dont or cant make money its when you go slots, bet, casino that they make their money.

hoggy, alot of people have a "one size fits all" view of gambling. They dont understand to difference in calculated risks. The poker sites still make a mint. Theres 1000s of games going on at anyone time and their taking something like 1-3% of every penny bet, but that % is minimal to the players so it doesnt seriously affect the money being waged player to player. Not like handing over 100% of the bet on a horse or something stupid, that really is a mugs game.
