Hello to all!
I am planning on casting a concrete floor that I will then polish as the finish. I want it to have a white marbled effect. The plan is to use either white emulsion or white powder paint, mixed entirely with the sharp sand and white cement, then to add a small quantity of grey emulsion or powder paint, not fully mixed in to give a grey rippled effect.
My question is: Can standard emulsion paint or arts and crafts style powder paint be used instead of cement dye? Or is there something in water based paints that could compromise the strength of the concrete? White and grey cement dye in the quantities I need would cost in the region of 3 to 4K.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
