polished concrete kitchen worktop

I'm due to buy my new kitchen and I'm thinking of going for a polished concrete worktop. I would be grateful for some advice regarding the following
1. Is it durable and stain resistant
2. I'm guessing that there are different types so what should I look out for when choosing a supplier?
