Just had some polished travertine floor tiles fitted. Overall very happy with the job, but I've noticed that the surface of the tiles if covered in very fine surface scratches (only really noticable directly under the glare of the spotlights).
I called the tiler back last night to look at it, and he doesn't know how/why its happened. I asked if it might be down to the grouting process, dragging gritty grout over the tile etc. He said he wouldn't think the polish would be damaged that easily.
Can anyone offer any advice about what I can do about this? I *could* live with it if necessary, but I'm very fussy and a bit of a perfectionist, so would like to sort if possible.
Thanks
Dave
