Hi,
We have put new ceramic non porous glazed tile in our kitchen. It has a matte, no shine finish. We would like to have more of a gloss shine on it. We're looking for a polish that can be safely used on the tile that will add a nice glossy shine and will not yellow over time. Does anyone have any suggestions. We've considered simonize paste wax , but not certain if it will gradually yellow or not. We also considered car polish. So far, we have not found a product specifically for this purpose. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi
as your in the US ,go in your local tile merchant an you can get many kinds of sealant/wax finishers specially for ceramic non porous glazed tile

sorry I could say use this or that brand but really you need a trip to a tile shop locally for a brand they use over there .....

BAL here is the best :)

The problem with this one is adhesion to the tiles. However, Polyvine do a Lacquer and a Varnish (Water based, so no yellowing). Polyvine Lacquer is an ultra tough, high quality, acrylic sandable coating with a semi-gloss finish. This coating dries to a crystal Clear film with extremely good sanding properties, allowing a very high quality of finish to be obtained. Lacquer is specially formulated to bond to a wide range of surfaces. Wood, metal laminate glass. Polyvine Varnish is a revolutionary clear acrylic coating for protecting decorating materials. Specially formulated for direct application to a wide range of surfaces. Protects from water, dirt, stains and mild abrasion. Emulsion/Latex paint, Protects painted walls in Kitchens, bathrooms and areas of wear (staircases). Wood, A professional finish to all interior woodwork. Plaster, Seals and protects new and old plaster. Wallpaper, Protects all wallpapers (except vinyl). Fabric, Seals and stiffens fabrics (e.g. lamp shades). Stone and Brick, Enhances the colour and prevents dusting. Bonds well to synthetic surfaces to give added protection. Available in Gloss and Satin. Dead Flat, which is completely non reflective. Also Polyvine do a Heavy Duty Floor Varnish which is Dries in minutes. Cures in hours Revolutionary cross linked polymer coating, glass clear, the hardest of all one pack coatings. Faster drying and curing than alternative coatings. Unique in its ability to resist marking from foot traffic. Ideal to use on. Interior wooden floors, Cork Tiles, Wooden work surfaces, Stone , Quarry Tiles, Slate, Brick. So what i would do is do a tester on spare tiles and leave for 3 months (leave them in the kitchen) and test adhesion etc........also if you want to contact them yourself then click on link http://www.polyvine.co.uk/index.asp
Also this stuff aint made specificly for your purpose but its the only product i can think of. though i would not use products mentioned in shower areas.
