You know when people talk about adverts, someone will say 'well they evidently work, otherwise companies wouldn't use them.' And there's a valid debate to be had there re subliminal effects of advertising and so on.

A bit like advertising, do you think their (political party bods) analysis shows this sort of thing has a positive effect on their campaign? I get they need to be out and about i.e. be seen, talking to people, interacting etc, however I personally find some of the stuff they do completely and utterly irrelevant.
