I'm busy repairing an elderly VW Polo at the moment.....but I can't find the fuel filter!
Its a 1997 'R', 1.0 litre, AER engine.
Does anyone know where it is? Feel a bit daft!
Thanks and good afternoon
John :)

is it located under back of right hand side wheel arch next to the fuel pump?

Thats the earlier model again...the one that has the cradle complete with pump and filter.
Nothing to see on this one - but it must be somewhere! I'm starting to doubt my own sanity here.

Sorted!
No wonder I couldn't find it - some clot had taken it out and just put a length of pipe in its place  The cradle for the filter had gone too
Takes all sorts!

Ha! :D
Its easier to put a new filter in, rather than going to the trouble of inserting a new length of pipe....goodness knows why.
Anyway, so far the car is running well (with new filter and plastic cradle)and goes back to the owner on Friday.
It may be time for me to change my phone number :p
John :)
