Technically you need a drill with a much shallower tip angle than conventional......this isn't the easiest to achieve, so try using a lubricant such as paraffin when you drill.
John :)

Get a 'FORSTNER' BIT SET.
Cheap as chips- you do NOT need a expensive set --lots on ebay I'd bet.
Spray a bit of WD40 on before you drill- and DONT press to hard on drilll- let the drill bit do the cutting.

ps-- remember- P Carb is very thin- and after penetrating the first layer--go slowly down to the 2nd and then the 3rd and maybe the 4th layer.
Easy peasy lemon (sooey) squeezy..

Thanks for the advice Since posting I have picked up a bosch bi-metal 14mm hole saw, it has relatively small teeth so I will give this a try and let you know how it goes.

Very sorry- I refreshed my memory-- and I used to use AUGER BITS' TO DRILL HOLES IN poly carb .
Any will do- as long as you drill slow .

I will try the auger bits on an of cut along with the hole saw and see what happens.

Just to let you know the hole saw with the pilot bit worked a treat, I did'nt know they went down to 14mm.
