PolyPlumb Fittings

Hi Guys,

I brought some polyplumb fittings and was doing to plumbing on the weekend but wasn't sure if I put in a pipe insert into one of the pipes so I decided to open the fitting just to check if I had or not, (I had done so) can I simply screw this back or do I need to throw this away?
