Poor water pressure

Hi I changed my bath taps the other night which seemed fairly easy.I had good water pressure before I changed them it is now poor..the method I used was to turn all valves off until there was no water coming out of the taps, the water pressure has returned to normal in the rest of the house.

You probably used taps designed for mains pressure whereas you have water from tanks. ??

Hi thanks for the reply .. yes the bath taps where feed from a inside tank system.
I don't kwon if the taps where desinged for mains or not, I just bought them from B&Q thinking they would be ok! it just seams that the pressure coming from these taps are greatly reduced.. Should I take them out or is a way round it if that is the case.

Have to say ask B&Q first, but don't expect too much tecvhnical enlightenment. They might quote a figure like 0.3 bar (3 metres head) which the taps are supposed to work OK with. Al the ones with quoted figs which I've seen are really designe d for high pressure systems. Otherwise thay say "...for gravity supplies..." or words to that effect.

Nothing easy you can do about it - unless you were thinking of a pump.
