Porcelain Patio Qs

Anyone with some experience landscaping be able to help out with a few questions I have. Just gauging the scope of job before debating whether to tackle it myself.

Wanting to have a patio area roughly 24m2 however our garden has a slight gradient on the edge (see picture). It drops roughly 27cm across 262cm to the fence.

Im guessing I’d have to build a retaining wall first before laying ground works at this
