I am digging out for the footing for my new brick porch. I was planning to dig 600mm down and 450mm wide, but 400mm down I have hit solid limestone.

It is not that hard -as far as rock goes, but it is going to be a lot of work to break it up with the SDS drill and dig out another 200mm.

Do I need to?

I was planning to fill 300mm, with 2 bricks on top and then DPC. Could I just raise the footing and use one brick below DPC level?

Thanks.

provided the stone is not superficial and has a protracted depth then i can't see you benefitting from digging out a lot more.

you will need to show at least two courses of bricks below the dpc. the rules state, external ground level should be 150mm below dpc.
