Porch roof - does it need fascia?

We’ve just had a new porch built as part of wider building works. I’m concerned that softwood battens are visible at the side. See photo. Should there be a fascia? There is no guttering so potentially these could be liable to rot?

Any advice as to whether this should be revisited would be much appreciated

Is the lead flashing as bad as it looks in the photo ? .Fascia would finish it off better.

Yep. I’m not keen on it but husband seems to like it that way….

Fascia and gutter, all looks a mess the way it's been tied into the existing window header.
