I'm hoping to build a porch approx 1m by 2m, 10 brick courses above dpm then windows (and door) all the way around. I was then hoping to put a wood frame and tiled roof on top. However I am not sure what goes on top of the window and doors before the roof frame or also how the roof is supported - do I need posts in the two corners and lintels resting on these? Any help would be great.

You can either fit adequate corner posts or extend the roof so that a pair of gallows helps take the load.
