Hi,
Strange question but to cut a long story short I got my planning appeal rejected for a front extension.
I know pd allows you to build a porch 3x1 but is there anything in the rules that stops you building two seperate porches 3x1? Thanks

It's 3sqm you're allowed not necessarily 3x1,

The SI specifically mentions "a porch outside any external door" so I guess if you had 2 front doors you could have 2 porches.

If you remove the front door then it's no longer a porch and you're back to PP.

Hi Stevie, thanks for your reply, it was actually a very large bay window (3x1 ) which got rejected because no one else on the street has a roof( canopy) above their bay window line we have which seems crazy to deny it for that however rules are rules!
It was just obviously going in front of our front window so all I was thinking was to install French doors in the living room leading to the second porch and using that as a small office which was why we were building a bay window in the first place … to me all I have to do is y doors inside and just a window to the new porch… am I thinking of this in the right way?
Thanks
Jake
