Hi guys,
I purchased a portable AC unit several years ago, and it was the best thing I've ever done for those hot muggy nights! However, it's been in storage for a while and now we're starting to use it again it got me thinking about legionella and other bacteria.
I've reviewed the manual (It's a Challenge mps3-08crn1-qb6g1) and it only mentions draining the water off when storing for a long period of time. It does not mention running any solution through to disinfect or re-adding water.
Am I worrying too much? Is it a different 'type' of AC unit than those which might cause a problem?
Any help is appreciated.
