Poss To Add Radial Circuit To Fuse Box?

Probably no more silly than suggesting that fuses 'rupture' - which, as I said, could be dangerous (and hopefully rarely happens).
If we wanted to be pedantic, the action of a fuse doing it's protection job is likely to do it in at one of 2 ways:
At a marginal overload of a fuse wire with a relatively low current there will not be much of a flash or bang as it overheats and eventually melts.
For a large overload, particularly with a large current; I think

is quite appropriate.

My hernia (frequently called a rupture) certainly didn't; break or burst suddenly that I'm aware of.

I think you miss my (pedantic additional) point, since (like Risteard) you are talking about the fuse wire, which is usually within the fuse (body) (or attached to the fuse body, if it's a 'semi-enclosed' one. As I said, if the fuse (body) itself were to rupture, that would definitely be undesirable and potentially dangerous.

I think you would probably find that the tear/splitting of the muscle did happen pretty 'suddenly', even if yopu were not immediately aware of it until bits of your innards started finding its way through the deficiency.

Understood... However in a semi enclosed carrier the only item to be described as a fuse is surely the wire link inserted therein.

I think I'm aware of my body and the several visits to medical establishments before my innards started spilling out.

Perhaps logically, but I think you'll find that most people, particularly the general public, would describe the fuse carrier together with its wire as "a fuse", just as they would describe one which had a fuse wire within a ceramic/whatever tube as being "a fuse". In any event, this semantic discussion started in relation to "plug (i.e. BS 1362) fuses" - they are definitely 'enclosed' and, as I've said, one wold hope that that entire"fuse" would not rupture when a high current flowed through it!

I'm sure you are - I was simply telling you how hernias usually arise.

Very stupid post.
