Hi there.
We are selling a property. Survey has been done and picked up on a bulge under carpet on concrete laid floor. Surveyor said possible sulphate attack. We have now pulled the carpet back and can see the damage. Does anyone know from the pics if they believe this to be the case? It’s in one spot in living room on ground level.

I have seen MOD housing in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire were sulphate attack on concrete floors caused the middle of some floors to lift several centimeters and crumble while others had small amounts of damage. All of them required costly repairs.

The photos you have posted do look like the damage I have seen.

Thank you for the reply. House buying and selling is so stressful.

Property was built 1967.
The buyer has arranged a sulphate survey to be done now which I am stressing over with that brings back.
