Any help or advice would be extremely helpful please

I've been in the private rented house for 5 years now and the condensation and moisture problems I cannot bear anymore.
Personally I think that the extension has been shoddily built. It's a kitchen and bathroom extension with the bathroom on the end (which is by far the worst room) and it's got a fibreglass flat roof. I know the moisture is coming through the ground slab up into the room but the landlord just tries to palm it off as condenstion because the windows not open and more stupid reasons like that.
Enough was enough so I ripped the skirting boards off which were unbelievably rotten. And behind that, in parts, I can see the brickwork dpc.
To save me going on and on I'll attach some pics and any brickies/builders please let me know what you think. Thanks

I would try to move....save the hassle etc...

Hmm, despite however ****e the landlord may appear to be and the property is, I'm not sure ripping off skirting boards & floor finishes was the right course of action.

The landlord is very aware of me taking them off. We have a little sort of arrangement as I'll do the work if he supplies the materials. He just down plays how serious the damage is

Happy to provide advice, however close up pics aren’t of any help unfortunately.

A few external shots showing whole extension and internal pice showing whole kitchen are needed.

Is the screed wet?
They might've "forgotten" to put down a damp proof membrane.
Yes mate it is. Also looks very patchy, as in multiple patch jobs, found it very strange to have an channel approx 20mm wide round the entire bathroom.
I've even put a hot air gun directly onto a patch off floor to dry it out and within 20mins you could see the damp coming back

Get more pics 2moro

What are you going to do with all this armchair opinion?

What you need to do if you feel that there is a breach of the tenancy, is make a formal claim under one or more of the L&T, fitness, nuisance or personal injury routes, and your legal advisor will instruct a proper survey to support any claim.

I don't understand your level of commitment to the house. It's not yours, unless the rent is exceptionally cheap (or I'd suggest free) then you just shouldn't care about it.

It will need major work to remedy, anyone who tells you applying two coats of some magic miracle paint is talking rubbish and is probably selling the stuff.

You need to look at the soil levels outside relative to the floor. If it's less than 15cm below floor level all round then that would be the place to start.

You're paying someone £xxx per month for them to provide you with a dry, warm and safe home. If it's not then find another.
