Hi,
I have just lifted the carpet in the dining room where I am planning to lay a parquet floor.
Unfortunately there is a hole through the screed where a 4x2 from an old internal wall went through. This punches right the way through to damp sandy soil/sand underneath and there does seem to be some damp rising from the hole.
What I do not want to do is lay the floor and then finding it lifiting from the damp.
Any suggestions on how to tackle this before laying the floor?
(Looking at it I will need to level the floor especially in that area)
