Pottern EP2001 CH Controller replacement Suggestions?

I have an ageing Pottern EP2001 CH Controller which needs the occasional switch on/switch off in order to restore all functionality and I need to replace it.

Can someone recommend a direct alternative - not to many wiring surprises!

Why not the new Potterton EP2? Direct replacement with no wiring changes, according to their description. I've not done one but it maybe an option for you.
