POTTERTON 24 ON CONSTANTANTLY

Hi my friend has a potterton 24 combi, it has developed a fault. It is on constantly no mater what setting you put the clock on. This means he can not have the boiler on because the radiators are overheating, which also means if the boiler is off no hot water, please help.

Its such a common fault on that model that we normally keep the DHW demand switch in stock.

As it comes with half the wiring harness it takes a while to fit.

Some people just change the switch on its own and connect with a terminal block!

i will test the switch for contiouity, if thats how i do it

I dont recommend that you tried to do that!

All you need to do is manually operate the lever and you will find that its squidgey and does not produce the click !
