Potterton 80 - strange goings on

I have a Potterton 80 series. And I seem to have problems with this like many others.

It has always been a boiler that likes to lockout from time to time, but something strange happened today….

After a shower the boiler flame did not go out, instead it chose to stay on and pump the radiators full of the hottest water known to man, even the central heating was turned to OFF.

After resetting the boiler and turning it back on with no hot water demand the flame came on and then locked out after a few minutes.

Any ideas???
