Hi,
My boiler (3yr old in new build) turns it self off when pressure drops below 0.5bar fairly regularly (1-2months) which has always concerned me as to why. I normally let a little more water in and everything works fine - until yesterday.
The pressure had gone below 0.5bar in the day (although it was fine in the morning) so when I got home I pressurised it up to 1bar ish. That was fine but then during running the pressure was creeping up into the red (i.e. 2.5+). So I drained a small amount of water from the rad so that it was sitting at about 2.25. Ran fine for an hour or so and then turned it off for the night.
Woke up this morning at it's turned itself back off again as pressure has dropped. I pressurised again and you know what then happened. It creeped up to 2.5-3bar; so I turned it off and left the house!
So I've been reading up on here - does it sound like I need to re-pressurise the PV or does it sound like it's broke/piped blocked?!
I can't see a leak anywhere unless it is in the walls.
Many Thanks
Chris
