hi guys i,ve got very frustrating problem please can somebody have some advise. I have potterton combi 80 boiler. The central heating will switch on but after about a minute will switch itself off, then 10 minutes later will switch itself back on for a minute and will keep repeating this cycle unless u turn heating off. Hot water is fine and the boiler doesn't lockdown. Only other thing i noticed was a couple days before problems, after heating was on the water pressure had dropped and had to top back up.The pcb was replaced about 6 month ago and boiler serviced he also advised the valve to outlet outside house may start leaking could this be part of the problem. got engineer out but he didnt have a clue what was wrong (his words)!!!
just tried again and everytime the CH is about to switch itself off i can hear a trickling sound which intensifies until it swiches itself off
